The pound has started the week with losses against the euro and the dollar.

Over the weekend the government said it was increasing efforts to prepare for a no-deal Brexit.

The government is now "working on the assumption" of a no-deal Brexit, Michael Gove said. That appears to have put further pressure on the British currency this morning.

It is down almost a third of a euro cent at €1.11 and against the dollar it has lost a third of a cent at €1.2346
